“Local mascots” are important entities that convey the charm of towns and the feelings of people, creating new encounters and smiles in the region. On the other hand, many organizers on the ground are still searching for ways to best utilize this power and determine which path they should take forward.

The World LocalCharacters Grand Prix. is a platform where feelings of support take tangible shape, nurturing the future of mascots and local communities together. The cheers and votes of all the fans bring new opportunities for mascots to take on fresh challenges, while fostering interest and pride in the town itself.

Furthermore, for the participating managing organizations, we hope that setting goals and actively sharing and interacting will help clarify their path forward and open up new possibilities. Supporters, organizers, and local regions coming together as one to energize the town together—we sincerely hope that this initiative will take root as a new culture in Japan.
